ADVISORY
1) Applications processed at the Visa Reception Centre are handed
back to the applicant in a sealed envelope.
2) All applicants whose applications have been processed at the
Visa Reception Centre are required to attend an interview at the
German Embassy in Accra in person.
3) All applicants are advised to report half an hour prior to their
interview time at the German Embassy's visa section (e.g. for Interview
time: 7.30 am reporting time: 7.00 am).
4) For the interview at the German Embassy all applicants need
the following:
- The interview appointment letter issued by the Visa Reception
Centre
- The Visa Reception Centre's sealed envelope
- Any other documents required for the interview but not yet
submitted by the applicant, as
- recommended by the Visa Reception Centre
- Visa Fees of 35 Euros payable in equivalent Cedis at the current
exchange rate
5) Applicants not able to attend the scheduled interview are requested
to apply for a re-scheduled interview appointment at the Visa Reception
Centre.
6) After completion of the Interview the interviewing officer advises
the applicant as to when the Passport can be collected from the
Visa Reception Centre.
Applicants are issued with a receipt from the Embassy, indicating
the collection date for the passport at the Visa Reception Centre.
Generally the processing time continues to be four working days
from the date of interview at the Embassy.
7) Applicants are requested to collect passports from the Visa
Reception Centre on the date specified by the Embassy, either personally
or through a third person. A third person needs to produce a signed
letter of authority, the Embassy receipt and proof of identity.
